“Kyk, Ek het ’n geopende deur voor jou gegee en niemand kan dit weer toemaak nie.” — Openbaring 3:8

This passage is Yeshua’s message to the church in Philadelphia, a church that had little strength but remained faithful to Him.
What makes this message so beautiful is that Yeshua does not say they were strong, powerful or perfect. He acknowledges their limited strength, yet praises them because they held on to His Word and did not deny His Name.

The message for us today
Sometimes we feel weak. Sometimes we wonder whether we have enough strength to continue. We pray, we wait, we face closed doors, and we question whether anything is changing.

But Yeshua reminds us that the doors He opens cannot be closed by people.
He sees our faithfulness, even when nobody else notices. He sees the battles we fight quietly, the prayers we whisper, and the moments when we choose to trust Him despite our circumstances.

In Revelation 3:11, Yeshua says:
“Ek kom gou; hou vas wat jy het sodat niemand jou kroon wegneem nie.”

This is a call to remain faithful, to persevere and not to surrender what He has entrusted to us.
Today, may our prayer be
Heavenly Father, thank You for seeing us even when our strength is small. Thank You for opening doors according to Your will. Teach us to remain faithful, to recognise Your voice and to hold firmly to Your Word. Give us patience when we must wait and courage when You call us to move forward.
